Taking for granted

There are people out there that claim not to take another for granted..
"Owh, we shouldn't do that~! He is already helping us so much, we shouldn't burden him"
Now that is something you will ONLY hear when your friends are still new.
Still trying hard not to compromise the new relationship, not putting any strain or tension that might otherwise make everything go wrong.
Then after awhile:
"I'm sure he won't mind us changing the plans right? I mean, he'd understand.."
Taking for granted much?
Soon after:
"I guess we can do this WITHOUT him knowing. I mean, when he finds out/ when we're done we'll let him know..."
Wow, major progress don't you agree? *nods nods*

Patience in confronting such episodes causes trust to become a melting ice cube.
At first, the melting happens really slow...
BUT once it has passed a certain stage, it starts to melt more and at a faster rate..
until trust just puddles around in useless, annoying pools of water.
What is worst is that even with the puddles of water around, there are still people having the gall to run around and splash the water all over the place.
Annoyance is reaching to its peak, I'll say no more.

I don't have to sink to their level just to get back at you, I'm better than that...

Fai fai No-Reason's weather forecast:
The storm starts hailing ice cubes without warning even at a distance I can hear it coming.
Running for shelter from this expected but sudden happening, I trip and fall...
Is there anyone who would actually turn back and shelter me from it all?
